EMF STRING FELLOWSHIPS
Fellowships will be awarded to outstanding string players between the
ages
of 18 and 20. The Fellowship Program is designed for exceptional leader
musicians who have experience in community and academic leadership.
The winners of these fellowships will participate in a leadership role
in the
EMF Symphony Orchestras throughout the summer. EMF Fellows will combine
to form a premiere chamber music ensemble which will perform in concerts
both on and off-campus. They will receive private instruction from the
Festival
faculty and attend specialized seminars focusing on leadership development.
Fellows will be mentored by EMF principal faculty, resident conductors,
Music
Director Gerard Schwarz, and leaders from the arts and business communities.
Recipients receive full tuition, room, and board on the Guilford
College campus.
